| 2. Quick Lime | It is used in production of iron and steel, paper and pulp production, treatment of water and flue gases and in the mining industry. The major use of quicklime is in the basic oxygen steelmaking (BOS) process. Ground quicklime is used in the production of aerated concrete blocks. |
| 3. Lime Stone | Lime stone is used in steel manufacturing, mining, paper production, water treatment and purification, and plastic production. Limestone is used in the textile, paint, rubber, glass and plastic industries. |

Calcium carbonate is a keystone building material in the construction industry, largely leveraged in cement production.
